Training of trainers for Play Hub

The "PlayHub in Ukraine" project is launching a local expert group that will provide consulting, information and expert support on a volunteer basis, improve access to gaming technologies for both Play Hub employees and clients of this centre.

On July 14, the NGO "Labour and Health Social Initiatives" (LHSI), together with its partner Kyiv City Family Centre "FAMILY HOUSE", conducted the training "TOY for inclusive education. Training of Trainers" in order to present in more detail the purpose and objectives of the project, the role of the expert group, the novelty of the intervention model and expectations from the project.

The overall learning objective of the training is to build foundations for understanding the TOY approach for inclusion and how to launch a Play Hub. Participants developed: knowledge about the importance of early childhood and the role of play in children's development, understanding the principles of the TOY approach for inclusion and the purpose of the program, understanding how to create a Play Hub in their community and contribute to the development of the plan, and developed knowledge about the importance of intergenerational learning, intercultural and outdoor games, especially for refugees and displaced persons and children,  affected by the war.

The project "PalyHub in Ukraine" is funded by the charitable organization Porticus and implemented in cooperation with International Child Development Initiatives (ICDI), the Netherlands.
