For children`s protection
LHSI NGO "Social Initiatives for Occupational Safety and Health" and the State Service of Ukraine for Children's Affairs have concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation and Interaction. It was signed in Kyiv in office of the State Service by its Head Petro Dobromilsky and the Chairwoman of the LHSI board Natalia Luk'yanova.
The document covers a wide range of topics that will be jointly covered and implemented. The declared goals are ambitious – to contribute to reducing the number of orphans and children deprived of parental care, so that such children have a chance for a full childhood by being placed in families; reducing the number of children who have experienced various forms of violence; protecting those affected by the war and children with special needs. The document also addresses monitoring human rights compliance, protecting children from online violence, and working to improve Ukraine’s legislation.
In the context of war, protecting children and their interests becomes a cornerstone of Ukrainian state policy and organizations dealing with minors' issues. This Memorandum serves as a foundation for cooperation, a basis for developing and implementing various measures and joint projects. For the sake of the future and Ukraine’s greatest value – children – the parties have agreed to provide each other with comprehensive support.
