E-mpowerYouth is a project aimed at raising awareness among adolescents from internally displaced persons (IDPs) and Ukrainian refugees in Poland and the Netherlands about online gender-based violence.
The project is implemented by the LHSI, the charitable organization "Youth and Teen Union 'Teenagerizer'," in collaboration with the OPORA Foundation (Netherlands) and Pro-fil (Poland). It is funded by the European Union.
Project Duration: 24 months, starting from April 1, 2025.
Project Goal
To enhance safety in the online environment for Ukrainian refugees and IDPs in Ukraine, Poland and Netherlands. The project aims to increase awareness among youth and their parents or guardians about online risks, their digital rights, and strategies to prevent gender-based violence online.
Main Objectives of the Project:
• Implement methods for recognizing and preventing gender-based violence online among partner organizations and local authorities.
• Disseminate information and resources for combating violence among youth and their parents or guardians.
• Create a safe online environment.
• Advocate for online safety regulations and address gaps in legislation.
