We are starting a project in Vinnytsia region

The indestructible LHSI team continues to develop the project "You need to know about tuberculosis: active detection of tuberculosis cases among people in difficult life circumstances."

This time, activities started in Vinnytsia region, where a working meeting with all involved participants took place at the end of September.

According to the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the largest number of displaced persons is currently in Vinnytsia region. Despite the fact that the population of the region before that was already 1.5 million inhabitants. And, given the sharp increase in the population and the fact that historically outbreaks of tuberculosis occur in the conditions of wars, the decision of regional specialists to join the project became quite conditional. After all, in such conditions, people with tuberculosis have become even more vulnerable due to the threats of interruption of treatment or due to late diagnosis of the disease. Many clients were forced to leave their homes and seek not only shelter, but also treatment in safer regions.

The working meeting on the implementation of the project was very productive. A Memorandum of Cooperation was also signed between the Director of the Center for Social Services of Vinnytsia region and the NGO "Social Initiatives for Occupational Safety and Health" (LHSI).
