Memorandum of Cooperation with the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine

The NGO “Labor Health and Social Initiatives” (LHSI) has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine (FUU).

On April 20, LHSI Director Ilona Yeleneva took part in an online meeting of the FPU Presidium. She presented a Joint Action Plan for 2021, the implementation of which will be facilitated by the signing of a Memorandum.

The Presidium unanimously approved the Memorandum and approved the Joint Action Plan for 2021.

The memorandum will help consolidate the efforts and resources of both partners in the implementation of measures and programs to prevent violations of human and civil rights and freedoms, including the right to work, safe working conditions, social protection, trade unions, establishing and promoting gender equality in the workplace. , elimination of all forms of discrimination in the field of labor.

According to Hryhoriy Osovyi, FPU Chairman, the signed document will help ensure citizens' access to quality and timely legal aid, taking into account the new challenges posed by the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), and will increase the institutional capacity of FPU, all-Ukrainian regional trade unions.
