The "Live Without Limits" project is implemented by the NGO "Social Initiatives for Occupational Safety and Health" with the support of the United Nations Development Program within the framework of the project "Promoting Human Security in Ukraine by Responding to the Multidimensional Crisis Caused by the War" with financial support from the Government of Japan.

Ukraine is one of the most mined countries in the world, with 40% of its territory contaminated with explosives. According to the UN, more than 1,8 million Ukrainian children and adults live in the vicinity of mines, especially in the deoccupied territories of the country. Although the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service continue the demining process, many territories currently remain unmined, posing a threat to the lives of community residents. People affected by the war and/or living in deoccupied communities need support.
The purpose of the project
Creating a safe, inclusive environment in de-occupied communities and developing medical and social rehabilitation services for people affected by the war in Ukraine.
Special attention within the project is paid to the development of services for people with disabilities with visual impairments in order to promote maximum recovery of people, provide psychological assistance, form life skills, use electronic devices and digital technologies, teach orientation and mobility skills, Braille, promote professional and personal development. In order for a person with visual impairments to become an equal participant in society in the future, having the opportunity to access education, work, communications and a high-quality full life. To this end, a model of comprehensive rehabilitation for people with visual impairments from all over Ukraine will be developed on the basis of our partners - the Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities "Podillia" in Vinnytsia.
