NGO "Labor and Health Social Initiatives" (LHSI) within the framework of the project "Mind the Future" announces a competition for the selection of qualified specialists for the role of coaches for psychosocial support of adolescents and youth in three target regions: Kyiv, Vinnytsia and Odesa regions.

"Mind the Future" project
The project is implemented by LHSI in partnership with Dutch experts De VeranderKamer, ICDI and a Polish organization PRO-FIL.
It aims to support youth facing the psychosocial challenges of war, internal displacement, and uncertainty by providing tools to strengthen mental health and develop resilience.
The Future Room® — an innovative methodology developed in the Netherlands that combines a future-oriented approach with the use of virtual reality (VR). Through interactive VR sessions, participants explore their own aspirations, become aware of challenges, and formulate concrete steps to achieve personal goals.
Coaches with psychological training work with young people aged 12–26 years old, conducting structured VR sessions and receiving ongoing support, training, access to VR equipment and licenses within the project.

Scope of work
The coach is obliged to:

Complete the VR–Future Room® training program, including an online academy, interviews, and supervised practice

Conduct individual VR sessions (minimum five programs of three sessions each during training)

Provide structured guidance to youth on learning, career development, overcoming emotional barriers, coping with loss, and building personal resilience

Use VR equipment (Quest 2 / 3 / 3s headsets) according to the methodology

Participate in supervisions, interviews, and peer evaluations of coaches

Collect feedback from participants and contribute to project monitoring and evaluation
Duration and involvement
Participation period: November 2025 – March 2028
Expected load: no less 6 hours of VR sessions per week with the possibility of a flexible schedule.

Required qualifications

Higher education in psychology, social work, humanities or related fields
-
Experience working with youth in psychosocial or educational contexts

Developed interpersonal and counseling skills

High level of digital literacy, confident work with online tools

Speed typing skills and digital documentation

Basic skills for working with VR applications

Availability of a separate room with Wi-Fi for holding sessions

Willingness to participate in trainings, supervisions and interviews (online and offline)

Fluency in Ukrainian, knowledge of English will be an advantage
Expected engagement

No less than 60 hours of training and practice in the first six months

Conducting VR sessions for at least 125 young people until the project is completed
