patients who have tuberculosis and are being treated in the Mykolaiv and Odessa regions.
Main task
The project aims to implement digital technologies to build adherence to tuberculosis treatment. The project involves issuing smart boxes to patients. evriMEDrecommended by WHO, which will be provided to patients.
Planned activity
The project assesses the practicality, impact and feasibility of implementing real-time electronic dosing devices (smart boxes) and implementing video-based OTC (VOT) to improve the effectiveness of outpatient treatment for patients with various forms of tuberculosis. The use of this technology will allow for rapid identification and timely response to problems that arise during treatment in patients. Thus, doctors providing OTC will be able to provide timely advisory support to patients who need help most.
The NGO “Social Initiatives for Occupational Safety and Health” is responsible for purchasing innovative equipment, conducting field work in the regions, and conducting operational research.
Implemented:
– purchase of IT equipment for the implementation of digital technologies in the healthcare sector, namely the introduction of smart boxes in the region (EVRIMED);
– increasing the capacity of medical institutions in the region, including anti-tuberculosis and other medical institutions, which should organize and conduct effective controlled treatment of tuberculosis patients, including by:
a) conducting training seminars and meetings;
b) providing technical assistance in the implementation of digital technologies;
– an analysis of the application of the latest digital technologies was conducted and a summarized report was provided.
