Project goal: providing free legal support to forcibly displaced persons in collaboration with city social service centers for children, families and youth in the project's target cities.
Project implementation period: 10.2015 – 02.2016.
Project location: Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Kyiv.
Project activities carried out
The organization implemented the project in Kyiv, Severodonetsk and Lysychansk as planned after the first months of its launch. 1004 legal consultations were conducted for IDPs.
We continued to distribute information leaflets about the Project in places where potential representatives of the Central Population (CP) are located – territorial centers, polyclinics, hospitals, departments of labor and social protection of the population of the respective cities of project implementation. This contributed to wider information of members of local communities and an increase in the number of requests for consultations from IDP representatives.
They began to conduct not only individual but also group consultations, for example in the cities of Lysychansk and Severodonetsk in the Luhansk region. The topics of consultation became more applied - how to get a subsidy, how to legally rent an apartment, etc.
The project prepared a brochure for IDPs with the most relevant legal issues:
Grantor: with financial support UN Development Programs in Ukraine (within the framework of the project "Rapid Response to Social and Economic Problems of Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine") and The Government of Japan in Ukraine.
