
E-mpowerYouth project is a project aimed at raising awareness among Ukrainian teenagers about gender-based violence on the Internet and developing skills for safe online behavior.
The project is implemented by the Labor and Health Social Initiatives in partnership with International Children Development Initiatives, OPORA Foundation, Pro-Fil Foundation and NGO “Girls” with co-financing from the European Union.
Duration of the project: 24 months (from April 1, 2025)
Countries of implementation: Ukraine, Poland, Netherlands
Project goal: to promote online safety for internally displaced persons and Ukrainian refugees, including adolescents and their parents/guardians, by raising awareness of digital risks, rights, and mechanisms to prevent gender-based violence online.
Main project tasks
- Developing skills to recognize and prevent gender-based violence online
- Raising awareness among teens, parents, and professionals about online risks
- Implementation of protection and response tools
- Advocacy for a safe digital environment and policy improvement
- Support for organizations and professionals working with youth
E-mpowerYouth project is an innovative model of integrating digital tools and interactive educational methodologies adapted to the needs of internally displaced persons and Ukrainian refugees in Ukraine, Poland, and the Netherlands.
Key activities
The project provides for:
- conducting trainings for professionals working with adolescents
- organizing workshops for young people and parents/guardians
- implementation of online programs on safe behavior on the Internet
- information campaigns in Ukraine, Poland and the Netherlands
- international and national events to disseminate project results
- online training for organizations interested in implementing the tools

The project developed digital toolkit, available to teenagers, parents and professionals.
